Mrs Sharp is proudly locally owned and operated. I’ve been up and running since 2010 and business has been steadily growing over that time. I have a long list of regular customers – some I visit every two weeks and some private clients I only see once or twice a year. The majority of my time I spend calling on businesses in Napier, Hastings and Central Hawkes Bay. These businesses range from restaurants, cafes, boarding school, rest homes and meat processing plants where I mainly sharpen knives. Others include leather and canvas factories, curtain making and clothing manufacturers where I sharpen scissors. I am always happy to fit in private clients along the way.

Napier: Hunting and Fishing (sharpened Thursdays morning) OR Total Food Equipment (sharpened Thursday afternoon)
Hastings: The Toolshed (sharpened Friday morning)
For house and business calls I have a minimum charge of $50 worth of work.
If you do not have $50 worth of work, the minimum appointment charge will be implemented.
Price guide:
- Knives between $5 and $10
- Scissors – Kitchen usually $10, Dressmaking usually $12, Surgical usually $15
- Garden tools between $10 and $25
- Any repair work to damaged edges will result in minimum $5 extra charge
